     What's New in ROBOLAB 2.9?

ROBOLAB 2.9 adds tons of new functionality to the ROBOLAB software. Users can now program the NXT with the same software environment they are familiar with.  In addition, there is also new firmware for the RCX and several new tools and icons. 


 

 

 

 

 


 


 

RCX 

Better task management
Task priority now only allows higher priority tasks to execute.  Lower priority tasks do not execute until the higher priority is either ended or in a wait statement. Try it!

Floating point math
You can now write out stand
ard math equations with parentheses and declare float or int variables.

Faster execution
The firmware is about 100 times faster than the old firmware.

Detective
This will be a debug tool ? it is not working yet.
It will allow you to  adjust low level RCX systems (like sensor sampling rate, motor PWM, force real time execution).

Data logging vis are part of Inventor 4

 

NXT

Pilots etc work as before
Choose NXT from Select COM port (all programs are saved as rbl on the NXT)

Begin NXT icon
For individual NXT file naming using (in Inventor 4)

Complete support for all NXT sensors in Inventor 4
Wait for distance, sound, angle, light (with or without LED), and touch.
