Educational robots for absolute beginners

The Rowan University Laboratory for Educational Robotics is offering a free online course called “Educational Robots for Absolute Beginners”.

The course is funded by Google CS4HS and covers NXT robotics programming. It was specifically designed for K-12 teachers, but is free and open to anyone who is interested in learning about LEGO NXT robotics. The course starts at the end of October, but you can preregister now.

I live in Tasmania, Australia, and teach Computer Science and Computing (Robotics + Game Design) at Claremont College. I also teach students from around Tasmania through my online robotics class, SmartBots. In my spare time, I enjoy hunting for little plastic boxes ("geocaching") and playing board games.
