This 3-4 period activity is intended to introduce students to the Basic Palette of NxT-G, and apply it to the emerging field of Sociable Robotics.

In this activity, students are introduced to the field of Sociable Robotics with a short video on the work of roboticist Cynthia Breazeale. Next they construct a simple 'sociable robot' using the NxT, motors, and sensors.

Finally, they program the NxT so they can interact with the robot, using the sensors as inputs, and the NxT screen, sounds, and movements for responses.
