The annual LEGO symposium is back from June 1-2, 2009, at Tufts University, Medford MA.
Gathering educators from around the world, the symposium seeks to explore exciting ways to use the capabilities of LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT-G and LEGO Education WeDo to teach science, technology, engineering, and math |
|
This year's symposium focuses on exploring how the LEGO toolsets in particular can foster and support a diverse learning environment for girls. Participants will work to evaluate and develop activities while considering:
- What makes an activity "diverse?"
- What, specifically, makes an activity optimal for girls?
- What other factors in implementing the activity can support its diversity and appeal to girls?
