Yes. It is possible to change the way that ports are configured, as well as motor speed and direction, through 'interrogate RCX'.
By running 'interrogate RCX', found under the administrator tab, port values can be changed. Below, port three has been changed to a raw switch. Below the picture of the RCX are options for changing the RCX’s motor direction and speed. It should be noted that the image of the RCX in the middle of the screen will not change to reflect the status of your RCX. The tower and the RCX must maintain communication while settings are changed.
