Yes,\nRoboLab 2.9 has firmware for both the RCX and NXT. The confusion\noften arises from the fact that there are two different pieces of\nsoftware to program the NXT - RoboLab 2.9 and the NXT software - and\neach downloads different firmware into the NXT. Thus, you cannot download\na program to the NXT from RoboLab if your NXT has firmware from the NXT\nsoftware (RoboLab\nwill tell you you need new firmware). Similarly, you can't\ndownload a program to the NXT from the NXT software if your NXT has\nRoboLab firmware (the NXT software\nwill let you download the program but will give you an error when you\ntry to run it).
\n
\nYou can use both software programs for the same NXT, but you will\nalways have to re-download each program's firmware before using it to\ncontrol the NXT.
\n
\nThe RoboLab firmware allows a few more functions, such as data logging\nand floating point math (you can now write out standard math equations\nwith parentheses and declare floating or integer variables). For more\ninformation on how RoboLab 2.9 differs from LEGO Mindstorms NXT\nsoftware, see \"What's New in RoboLab 2.9?\" and \"Software Comparison.\"
