WeDo software patches

Software update/patchDepending on the version of the platform you are using (Mac or Windows), you might run into one kind of compatibility or update problem or another. They are fairly infrequent and fortunately LEGO Education provides patches to solve these problems. There are currently six patches available for download. What follows is a brief description of each patch.

Mac OS 10.7 (Lion) installer fix – This software workaround fixes the problem that the WeDo Software does not install with  Mac OS 10.7 Lion.

Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard) sound fix – This software addresses an issue on Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard) that prevents using the built in Microphone to record sound in the LEGO WeDo Software.

Flash fix for Mac – This software update fixes the issue that the WeDo Software does not install with the Mac OS 10.7 Lion and resolves issues with Flash 11.

Mac software patch 1.2 – This patch fixes a Flash issue that can cause the WeDo Software to crash when accessing the activities within the software.

Flash fix for Windows – This is an update for the WeDo Software version 1.2. This update primarily resolves issues with Flash 11.

Windows software patch 1.2 – This patch fixes a Flash issue that can cause the WeDo Software to crash when accessing the activities within the software.

All of the patches are on the WeDo downloads page of the LEGO Education site. This page also includes instructions for three extra builds (the Hungry Alligator is included in the Activity section of the software), two new backgrounds and 2 supplemental sounds. Check back for future patches and additional freebies.
