"rotation-sensor-challenge"Rotation sensors are very important in the field of engineering because they track and measure the motion of rotating objects. The NXT motors and EV3 large motors have built- in rotation sensors that are accurate enough for most purposes, but what if you need something even more accurate?

How can you design and construct a better rotation sensor? (i.e. one that is more accurate and precise than the ones built-in to the NXT and EV3 motors?)

What is the smallest angle that you can measure accurately and repeatably?

Tip 1: Is there a way to mark the end of each revolution?

Tip 2: Is there any relationship between the time duration of each revolution and the angular velocity?
